I agree! Hahaha, I always have to make people wait before they eat because I need to take pictures! And yes, I do! :)
I forgot to take a picture of it before I ate it (qqqq). But try the Caramelized Carrot & Terragon, Texas au Lait, and the one with honey and vanilla in it. OK NEXT TIME I GO I WILL DEFINITELY TAKE PICTURES. The flavors sound a little weird and scary at first (Strawberry & Basil, Fresh Beets and Mint), but they were so worth trying.
Hot & Crunchy Chicken-Avocado Cone at The Mighty Cone: SO GOOD. SOOOOO GOOD. This was me & Edison’s appetizer before we ate at Home Slice, haha. Basically, this place specializes in making fried stuff and then sticking it in a tortilla and then sticking all that into a cone. Pretty ingenius!!! (Austin, May 02, 2012)
The Odd Couple cupcake at Austin Java: “Rich Valrhona chocolate cupcake topped with swirled housemade salted caramel and vanilla cream cheese frosting.” Yeah, uhm, enough said. (Austin, April 21, 2012)
I DON’T REMEMBER WHAT THIS WAS. LOL, aw man, but it was somewhere in Houston, and it was really good. The “shaved ice” part of the dessert tasted sort of like snowflakes melting on your mouth. Oh man, I feel so bad. I will get back to this post when I remember. (Houston, March 31, 2012)
Magic Shroom Burger at Hopdoddy Burger Bar: “Angus beef, Texas Goat Cheese, Field Mushrooms, Mayo & Basil Pesto”. Okay, seriously how can you go wrong with that? Also! I had a Nutella & Pretzel Milkshake and it was delicious. Food heaven on earth. (Austin, March 25, 2012)
Homemade red bean mochi! :) I used the microwave method and it was super duper easy. Everyone should seriously consider trying this out one day, because it’s so cheap. Recipe here! I used red bean paste for a filling. (Dallas, March 16, 2012)
Dutch Baby at Original Pancake House! This was seriously delicious. It tasted like a sugary, lemony funnel cake. It probably wasn’t the healthiest option for lunch, but I definitely had to try it! Also, this place is definitely better than iHop or Denny’s (it was packed on a random weekday morning), so if any of you are from Dallas, you need to try it. :) (Dallas, March 16, 2012)
